3D glasses need Bluetooth? XpanD sure thinks so

In consumer market innovation means someone talks about you when you launch something new, but sometimes it better be something useful also. It’s not the case with XpanD, the first manufacturer to bundle 3D Glasses with Bluetooth connectivity for their VIZIO XVT LCD TV lineup. I always thought that 3D technology has something to do with optics and the way you capture two sets of images from different angles that simulate the way our brain composes images.

Apparently I was wrong and I will stand corrected if XpanD somehow manages to tell us how Bluetooth connectivity can improve on watching 3D movies at home besides the obvious way which is remote checking if you haven’t forget to put them on your eyes and tell you to do so if you see a blurry image (as you will if you don’t wear your glasses while watching 3D content).
