It’s not the first time we talk about speakerphones car kits as they are the easiest way to get your car Bluetooth hands free enabled without getting heavy and costly modifications. The Motorola MOTOROKR T505 is one such device that adds to the table one important feature: it has an FM transmitter so you can use your car stereo while making calls, which means better sound quality (and loudness). This feature doesn’t resume only to calls as you can use a Bluetooth stereo enabled phone to stream tunes to the MOTOROKR T505 and from here on to your car stereo through the FM transmitter.

Other smaller functions include Audio CallerID technology which says out loud the name of the person who’s calling you. Echo and noise reduction technologies are also present. StationFounder is a transmission quality related tech that automatically searches for the optimum transmission channel on your car stereo. With the press of a button it says out loud the FM frequency which you’ll need then to set on your car radio.

Motorola Motorokr T505 Speakerphone on your head visor

The number of buttons on Motorola MOTOROKR T505 is not overwhelming and include controls for volume, wireless stereo audio link control, StationFinder, Audio CallerID, On/Off pairing button. You’ll love the way the speaker mounts to your head visor with a small clip, no other cables needed. The included 1150 mAh battery lasts up to 18 hours talk/stream time or 14 days standby.

Reviews online day that Motorola MOTOROKR T505 is an excellent hands-free calling device but lacks full duplex transmissions so you have to adjust to this and make small pauses during conversations but that’s not the end of the world isn’t it?

The only option to get Bluetooth handsfree connectivity in your car after you’ve purchased it is to get a wireless speakerphone that usually attaches to your head visor or central console. In both cases you get the best possible Bluetooth integration without altering the car. BlueAnt Supertooth 3 is one such device that adds to the pack some interesting features like voice commands (for answer, reject and voice dial) and text to speech which pronounces the Caller ID.

As with all handsfree speakerphones to install it you just have to slide the mounting rails to your head visor, make contact with the back magnets on the main device and you’re set (if the battery is charged, of course). You can pair the BlueAnt Supertooth 3 with up to 8 phones which is enough for a basketball team, not to mention a normal sized family.

This is how you operate the BlueAnt Supertooth 3

As or noise cancellation, the BlueAnt Supertooth 3 uses an advanced Digital Signal Processing chip which does a good job, but doesn’t cut out all the unwanted sounds around you, so you should speak loudly, especially when you give voice commands. The included rechargeable battery lasts for up to 15 hours talk time and a whooping 800 hours standby time. Charging to 100% takes around 3 hours.

For them Jabra prepared the SP200 speakerphone, a basic speaker with buttons for volume, answer and reject. No fancy display option here or contacts copy from your phone’s SIM.

The Jabra SP200 is easy to install and use, just like any other Bluetooth headset, and supports features like Reject Calls, Voice Dialing, Last Number Redialing, Mute, Auto-Pairing, Auto Off to conserve battery life. From call quality standpoint the Jabra SP200 has noise reduction and echo cancellation so you’ll be able to use it also while cruising at high speeds on the highway. If you’re interested about battery life you’re glad to hear it’s good for 10 hours talk time and 23 days standby time. For those kind of features you’ll have to pay about 44$.

Noise cancelling during calls made over Bluetooth is one of the most sensible things that headsets manufacturers have to address. Jabra just did that with their Noise Blockout Extreme technology (used first on their Jabra Stone) that manages to shave up to 24 dB from surrounding noise, versus 12 dB in previous Jabra DSP technology.

The new Jabra Cruise external speaker phone for cars (it can also be used in conference rooms) has implemented the new technology, plus things like spoken Caller ID, FM transmitter to transmit your conversation through your car audio system and remote MP3 control. Battery life is important for a mobile device and Jabra knows that, so it fitted the Cruiser with a battery that lasts up to 14 hours talk time and 300 standby. It can be paired with up to two devices simultaneously.

It currently sales for 99.99$ (on Jabra’s website) but we’ve found it on Amazon for just 69.99$.

If you ride your motorcycle often then you know how frustrating is to receive a phone call while you are in traffic. Without a hands free you need to stop, pull over, and call for yourself the person who wanted to talk to you earlier. Here’s when a special designed bluetooth headset like the Stereo F4 Interphone Motorcycle kit that features a special helmet mount.

You can use it to talk wirelessly or as an Interphone with another rider situated at up to 1640 feet distance from you. The BlueAnt Stereo F4 Interphone can also be used for turn by turn navigation (it works only with motorcycle friendly GPS devices). If you care for some music you can also use it for steaming stereo audio through your music player via A2DP Bluetooth profile.

The BlueAnt F4 wireless kit is also water-resistant, windproof and can be used at up to 110 mph and is compatible with all Bluetooth mobile phones (but is worth checking this before you buy). You’ll be happy to find that the included rechargeable battery is good for 10 hours talk time and 700 hours standby time away from the socket.

If it wouldn’t be for the product description of the Jabra SP700 you could easily mistake it for a wireless mouse. What we have here is a Bluetooth speaker phone for your car, which can be clipped to the car’s sun visor. Even if Jabra didn’t put a display on the SP700, for cost purposes, it features voice announcements, to help drivers concentrate on the road, not the gadgets inside the cabin.

Jabra SP700 is able to play calls and music tracks from cell phones on your car stereo via FM and Bluetooth. Advanced DSP noise reduction and echo cancellation functions help increase audio quality. You’ll be able to use the SP700 14 hours of talk and 225 standby between consecutive charges and that’s something to remember.

If you’re looking for a cheap bluetooth car kit you can’t go wrong with the Motorola T305 speaker, a Palm-sized Bluetooth handsfree speaker that can be clipped anywhere in your car. Sound goes through a 1W speaker, which might not be the same like using the car’s audio, but definitely is cheaper at under 27$, the amount you have to pay for the Motorola T305.

Additionally the T305 can be charged using the special USB cable delivered by Motorola and the car’s 12V adapter. Thankfully you won’t have to do this often as the internal battery is rated for 14 hours talk time and 200 hours standby. You can easily control the Motorola T305 using the effortless controls -press one button for power, another for calls, and two more for up/down volume.

If you own an older car of didn’t want to pay for Bluetooth hands free option that costs at least a few hundred dollars then you might want to buy a Bluetooth Car Kit, that can be easily installed and used daily. Parrot is a manufacturer with good history in the Bluetooth Car Kits arena, the CK3100 being one of the cheapest models available with a color LCD screen in the market.

CK3100′s display shows information like: incoming calls, recent calls, missed calls, voice mail, directory. An unidirectional microphone provides hands free dialing for up to 150 contacts and implements functions like background noise cancellation in order to help increase the correct recognition rate. For easy operation a big knob allows users to scroll through menus and control the volume of the Parrot CK3100.
