Jabra Clipper turns any wired headset to Bluetooth camp

Author: John Pope

There are a lot of people out there who own a very good 3.5  mm jack headset, who would like to switch to Bluetooth wireless but are afraid of losing the sound quality they got used to, plus they don’t really want to throw away that gorgeous pair of earphones they’ve paid so much for. Jabra thought of them and launched the Clipper Bluetooth conversion kit, a special gadget that allows any wired headset to be connected to a Bluetooth compatible device.

The way it works is pretty simple: you connect your favorite kit to Jabra Clipper, who is Bluetooth enabled therefore can be paired with any device just like you do with your normal wireless headset, be it stereo or mono. As the name suggest, Clipper can be clipped to your clothes and can control your music via the volume buttons and can even pause in the middle of the song if an incoming call is answered. Clipper’s internal battery is good for 6 hours of continuous playback and 80 hours standby, all this from only 20 grams total weight.

Jabra Clipper will be available sometime this year, hoping soon, at a suggested retail price of 60$. It already seems like a good catch if you are an audiophile that is afraid of getting rid of its own headsets collection but want to make the switch with this millennium’s wireless trends. But we’ll have to wait untill we got our hands on one.
