Jabra Halo: a stereo bluetooth headset for music

Description and specifications
Jabra surely knows how to design a bluetooth headset, and the Halo is no exception as it features a very slim design with earphones what can be folded to very narrow profile during transportation. Jabra markets the Halo as a bluetooth stereo headset for music lovers and really takes care of them as packs a 3.5 mm cord in case your favorite audio device doesn’t feature a bluetooth connector, so we have a commode combination of wired/wireless stereo headset.
Jabra Halo has also bluetooth calling features but the performance in this case is not stellar, especially noise reduction, which could be better in noisy environments. Touch sensitive controls are a nice featured from visual point but in practice are not very precise, so we would have preferred a more ‘classic’ approach.
The well designed earpieces have their own problems as they don’t stay still on our ears as we would have liked, unless you have a bigger head size and they get more tension that locks them better in place. What we love about the Jabra Halo is the auto pairing mode that works as advertised: without our intervention. Multipoint connection is also a good way to use the bluetooth stereo headset with two devices simultaneously so you can receive calls from your business phone and music from your high capacity mp3 iPod.
Overall the Jabra Halo makes sense as an acquisition if you’re planning to use it primarily as a music device.
