Sony is clearly a premium brand but that doesn’t means they don’t have products for the everyday mortal to afford. The DR-BT140Q stereo bluetooth headphones fall into this category but don’t compromise too much in terms of performance: 53 grams, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, open air headphones with over the ear snug fit (unfortunately non adjustable so check before you buy) and a wire that links them together. A remote control is used for Play, Stop, pause, FF, FR and microphone is provided to make phone calls.

The internal battery of the Sony DR-BR140Q lasts up to 12 hours music playback and 200 hours stand by, enough to get you through a day in the field. A reliable battery indicator shows when it’s time to connect a power cord. Call and music playback quality is top notch, with good volume range but the cable that connects the two headphones (adjustable) can be broken easily if too much pull is exercised. The noise reduction technology is better than average but you can’t expect more from an open-air set of headphones. Now that price has fallen way under 70$ the Sony DR-BT140Q are a very good investment.
