The first netbook with Bluetooth 3.0: Asus EEE PC 1018P
We already wrote something about Bluetooth 3.0 standard a few months ago when the standard was announced, now it’s time to see the first products hit the market. Samsung was the first to put Bluetooth 3.0 in a phone with GT-S8500 and Asus is the first one to get it into a portable: the EEE PC 1018P netbook, which also is the first to get USB 3.0 ports, so it’s a double innovation we’re dealing with.
From specs point of view we know the Asus EEE PC 1018P features a brushed aluminum case, 10 hours battery life and a choice of Intel ATOM N455 and N475 CPUs, both supporting DDR3 standard (another first for a netbook). We’d say this is a pretty device that managed to fit a lot of goodies in an 18 mm thick case.
